When it comes to the gospel, do you want to be right or happy?
Dr. Phil famous phrase famously suggest you can’t be right all the time. Certainly the apostle Paul understood that. After all he became all things to all people with with the hope to save some (1cor 9-19-23).
However in the book of Galatians, we see the other side of Paul. A Paul that doesn’t compromise the truth, a Paul that stands for the gospel, for the idea that nothing can really separate us from the love of God in Jesus.
And he confronted he Galatians risking to ruin the relationship with them to a point he asks:
Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth? Gal 4:16
There are some moments we may need to become all things to all people to save some. There are moments we need to stand for the truth and boldly defend the gospel.
How can we discern when to do what?
