For every promise, there is price to pay. Jim Rohn

Do you agree with that quote? This  seems obviously true by the patterns of the world: “no pain, no gain”, “no such thing as free lunch”.

So what about the promise that you are a child of God? Does it come with no strings attached? Or do we need to behave first to belong ? Does the law takes priority over the promise?

The good news is that in the kingdom of God, things are upside down. The last will be first, the meek will inherit the earth, those persecuted will be blessed. We belong first, than we behave… never forget that! We belong to God, we are accepted, forgiven, loved.. then we behave, we workout our salvation… because we belonged first.

Just like when a little baby first join a family, she’s loved way before she has to obey her parents. She will simply be loved for years, even though she only cries, pups, and sleep. She’s loved just like that. Way before she can “obey her parents”. The same way we had belonged to God even before we we’re born. Only when we understand that, we are ready to behave. The promise of Gods love ALWAYS takes priority over His Law. Never forget that!

Before I shaped you in the womb,

I knew all about you.

Before you saw the light of day,

I had holy plans for you (Jeremiah 1:5 the message)
